Loraine’s Deflected Double Weave Scarf – Pattern
$7.00
Circles and Squares combine in this 8 Harness Deflected Double Weave Wool/Silk Scarf.
This Deflected Double Weave design originates in 1954 with a yet unpublished draft from Mary Meigs Atwater and woven by Loraine Kessenich. Adapted and woven here in 2/18 Zephyr Wool/Silk. The sample is woven in black, red and white, but other color combinations would be equally successful. The front side of the design emphasizes the circle shapes, while the back side emphasizes the squares! You will need an 8 harness loom with a 15" weaving width and a 12 dent reed. Level of difficulty - Intermediate to Advanced.
